WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, Senator Vance offered a point of order to strike the emergency designations for spending in the Senate’s Ukraine supplemental package. Proponents of the Ukraine package voted 66-33 to allow the emergency designations to stand.
In a statement, Senator Vance said, “It is a sad commentary on Washington’s priorities that the Senate has voted to call the war in Ukraine a pressing emergency despite its total failure to address our nation’s most pressing emergency: the crisis on the Southern border.”
